Terms & Conditions

TM Travel Taxis

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings and journeys made with TM Travel Taxis. By booking with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Bookings

• Bookings can be made by phone, online, or via approved messaging platforms.
• All bookings are subject to vehicle and driver availability.
• It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate pickup details, contact information, and journey requirements.
• TM Travel Taxis reserves the right to refuse any booking at its discretion.

2. Fares & Payment

• Fares are calculated based on distance, time, and/or agreed fixed pricing.
• Fixed fares must be agreed at the time of booking.
• Additional charges may apply for waiting time, extra pick-ups/drop-offs, excess luggage, or late-night journeys.
• Payment methods may include cash and other accepted payment options as advised at booking.
• All payments must be made in full at the end of the journey unless otherwise agreed.

3. Cancellations

• Customers are requested to provide as much notice as possible for cancellations.
• Cancellations made after the driver has been dispatched may incur a charge.
• No-shows may be charged the full or partial fare.

4. Waiting Time

• Standard bookings: A maximum waiting time of 10 minutes is allowed from the agreed pickup time. After this period, the driver may leave without further notice and a charge may apply.
• Airport pickups: A maximum waiting time of 30 minutes is allowed from the time the flight lands to allow for customs and baggage collection.
• Any flight delays must be communicated to TM Travel Taxis at the earliest opportunity. Failure to notify us of delays may result in additional charges or cancellation of the booking.

5. Passenger Conduct

• Passengers must behave in a respectful and lawful manner during the journey.
• TM Travel Taxis operates a strict no-smoking and no-vaping policy in all vehicles.
• Any damage caused to the vehicle by a passenger may result in a cleaning or repair charge.
• Drivers have the right to refuse service if a passenger is abusive, intoxicated to an unsafe level, or poses a threat to safety.

6. Children & Safety

• Child seats must be provided and fitted by the customer. TM Travel Taxis does not supply child seats and accepts no responsibility for providing or installing them.
• All passengers must wear seatbelts in accordance with UK law.

7. Luggage

• Please inform us in advance if you have large or excessive luggage.
• TM Travel Taxis is not responsible for loss or damage to luggage unless caused by proven negligence.

8. Delays & Liability

• While we aim to be punctual, TM Travel Taxis is not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road conditions, or events beyond our control.
• Customers are advised to allow sufficient time for important travel such as flights or train departures.
• Our liability is limited to the cost of the booked journey.

9. Lost Property

• We will make reasonable efforts to return lost items.
• TM Travel Taxis accepts no responsibility for items left in vehicles.
• A return fee may apply for the delivery of recovered items.

10. Complaints

• Any complaints should be reported as soon as possible with booking details and journey information.
• We are committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly.

11. Changes to Terms

TM Travel Taxis reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website.

TM Travel Taxis is fully licensed and regulated by Newcastle City Council. This means our vehicles, drivers, and operating standards meet the strict safety, compliance, and professional requirements set by the local authority. Our drivers undergo the necessary background checks and licensing procedures, and our vehicles are regularly inspected to ensure they are safe, clean, and roadworthy.
